PELLET.TOWER

The PELLET.TOWER, developed by TECCON, is a standardised module for the production of high-quality wood pellets. All functions of the core process in producing wood pellets – sawdust grinding, moisture control, pelleting, product cooling and screening – are integrated into the production module and run fully automatically.

Through smart use of gravity, the system minimises conveyor technology, reducing operating and maintenance costs. Standardisation makes it easier for investors to invest in wood pelleting with little risk. Further advantages of standardisation are the problem-free storage of spare and wearing parts, a quick approval process by local authorities and the simple and space-saving installation of the system.

An advanced fire and explosion protection system is an integral part of the PELLET.TOWER. Together with the inline weighing system for recording the current production volume, the integrated vacuum cleaning system for easier cleaning, and the option for remote monitoring and maintenance, it sets new standards in wood pellet production.

The PELLET.TOWER is available in two series: The machines in the PT series have an output of 2.5 to 7.0 t/h, and those in the P2T series are 7.0 to 14 t/h. This means that an annual wood pellet production of approx. 15,000 to 100,000 t per production module can be achieved. The installation of multiple PELLET.TOWER units enables production to increase as required.

DRYING TECHNOLOGY

TECCON designs, manufactures and supplies drying plants, specifically tailored to customer requirements.

An example is the belt dryer for drying wood shavings in which a layer of shavings travels on a conveyor belt through a drying canal. Warm, dry air flows through the canal drying the wood fibres. Precise humidity of the output material is achieved by regulating both, the retention time in the canal and the thickness of the layer of shavings.

Due to the intelligent design and arrangement of the components, TECCON has optimised the drying process in a way that the dried material achieves higher drying precision and homogeneity compared to other methods used. This creates the best conditions for producing wood pellets of excellent quality and the highest economic efficiency in further processing with lower overall investment and operating costs.

WALKING FLOOR CONVEYOR
The TECCON walking floor conveyor carries granular material from flat surface areas. Any number of transport elements can be combined to facilitate both, the required output and storage capacity.

BUCKET ELEVATOR CONVEYOR
The modular designed TECCON bucket elevator conveyor transports granular materials vertically.

DRAG CHAIN CONVEYOR
The modular TECCON drag chain conveyor transports granular material using a conveyor chain that does not run in the goods to be transported. The conveyors can handle slopes with gradients of up to 60°. In the upper deck design, the drag chain conveyor is used to discharge substances from hoppers.

TROUGH CHAIN CONVEYOR
The TECCON trough chain conveyer transports granular material using a conveyor chain running in the goods to be transported.

SCREW CONVEYOR
The TECCON screw conveyor transports powder or granular material by means of a rotating screw in a trough.

SCREENING TECHNOLOGY

TECCON tumbler screeners separate raw materials according to their particle sizes. The horizontal circular motion of the screen moves the material over the inclined, perforated screening deck where the separation occurs.

The screen surface can be varied by installing additional decks for optimal screening performance.

An example of the application of the tumbler screener is the PELLET.TOWER, where pellets are screened to ensure low dust content and eliminate excess lenghts. Separated particles are recycled in the production module.

TECCON has developed outstanding competence in designing and supplying machinery for the requirements of its business partners over many years of experience.

Technically innovative solutions are created based on a specific demand, which are unique in functionality, reliability and efficiency. The outcomes are specialised machines and plants characterised by complex motion sequences coupled with challenging mechanical loads or specific features like welding robots, camera systems, cutting devices etc.

This is why once-off, special products designed and manufactured by TECCON often become part of the standard product range. In its automation division, TECCON plans and supplies individual components such as rolling machines, handling systems and processing centres. TECCON is well equipped to plan and realise complete production line projects in this field.

An example of such a production line is the SWELLEX anchor production line. Within a few months, TECCON completed all phases from concept design to fully automated operation of a production line for manufacturing expandable rock bolt anchors with a length of up to 12 m used for tunnel construction and mining.
